Meet Dr. Andrew McRitchie

Dr. Andrew McRitchie is a licensed psychologist and licensed marriage and family therapist, who is independently licensed in the states of Colorado and Massachusetts, is an authorized Telehealth Provider in the state of Florida, and is authorized to provide Telepsychology services in 37 states across the U.S. through The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT).

 

Dr. McRitchie has been providing psychological evaluations since obtaining his Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology in 2020 from William James College. Prior to this, he has been practicing psychotherapy since obtaining his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and Couples and Family Therapy degree in 2016 from the William James College. Dr. McRitchie has provided psychological evaluations and therapy for hundreds of individuals struggling with a wide range of psychiatric disorders and challenges including post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, psychosis, personality disorders, domestic violence, substance abuse, familial separation, and dislocation. 

 

​Dr. McRitchie’s experience includes years of work in psychiatric and medical inpatient hospitals, the Department of Veterans Affairs, community mental health centers, and in-home based mental health services. Since 2018, Dr. McRitchie has been in private practice, providing psychological assessments and therapy for adults and adolescents.​

 

Dr. McRitchie specializes in psychological evaluations for immigration cases with a particular speciality in N-648 certifications, extreme hardship waivers, asylum, and clients seeking protection through the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). He obtained advanced training by Physicians for Human Rights and has been active in their pro bono asylum network since 2021. Dr. McRitchie has appeared numerous times in court as an expert witness and has been a guest lecturer at William James College and Phillips Academy Andover. Over the years, Dr. McRitchie has also provided numerous workshops and trainings to mental health providers and community members on the best practices for identifying and managing serious mental illness and suicidal ideation.
